On April 13, 2026, the sixth China International Consumer Goods Expo (hereinafter referred to as the CICG Expo), co-hosted by the Ministry of Commerce and the People’s Government of Hainan Province, was grandly inaugurated at the Oriental Global Hainan International Convention and Exhibition Center. The sixth CICG Expo will be held from April 13 to 18, 2026, under the theme “Openness Leads Global Consumption, Innovation Fuels a Better Life.” The total exhibition area has been expanded to 143,000 square meters, attracting more than 3,400 brands from over 60 countries and regions. Canada serves as the Guest Country of Honor for this edition, setting up a 400-square-meter national pavilion and organizing nearly 40 companies to showcase their products collectively; Shanghai is the Guest Province/City of Honor. Compared with previous editions, several key performance indicators have seen significant improvements: the share of international exhibits has reached 65%, an increase of 20 percentage points over the last event; during the expo, more than 200 global new products are expected to be unveiled—double the number from the previous edition—thus striving to establish the event as the “launchpad” and “must-visit destination” for cutting-edge global lifestyle trends; and approximately 65,000 professional buyers from both domestic and international markets have been invited, representing a 10% year-on-year increase. In addition, this edition introduces innovative features such as a Buyer Service Center and an “Incubation Zone” for travel retail brands, further enhancing service capabilities and delivering a superior experience for exhibitors, buyers, and networking opportunities worldwide.

Adhering to the principles of realism, standardization, and inter-agency coordination, the drill simulated a full-process scenario of passengers being trapped in an elevator, with a particular focus on assessing the operability of the emergency response plan and honing the ability of multiple departments to collaborate effectively in handling such incidents, thereby establishing a strong proactive defense to ensure the safe and orderly conduct of the CICG Expo.

The 6th China International Consumer Goods Expo will be grandly held at the Hainan International Convention and Exhibition Center from April 13 to 18. To ensure the successful completion of all service and support tasks for the event, Oriental Global Exhibition Group convened a mobilization meeting on March 13—marking the 30-day countdown to the Expo—thereby fully launching venue service and support operations for the sixth edition and bringing exhibition preparations into the final sprint phase. The meeting was chaired by Li Naiqin, Deputy General Manager of Oriental Global Hainan, and attended by Guo Feng, Deputy Director of the Brand Operations Department of the Hainan International Economic Development Bureau, and Luo Yindan, Third-Level Researcher at the Haikou Municipal Bureau of Commerce.
